Laura and Joe are one of the most genuine couple’s I’ve had the pleasure of meeting this year. They decided to have a Hart’s Hotel wedding in Nottingham and I was delighted when they chose me to be their wedding photographer.
I arrived in the morning at Laura’s parent’s house where the girl’s were all getting ready. Laura did look quite nervous for the day ahead but that’s very normal and usually passes once the wedding ceremony is over. It was no exception here. Laura had chosen a pair of Badgley Mischka shoes as her bridal shoes. The only word I can use to describe them is WOW! They were truly stunning.
The wedding ceremony was held at St John’s church also in Nottingham, a short drive away. It was nice to return to this church and it’s one I always enjoy photographing as it is very well lit and spacious. After the ceremony a chimney sweep arrived to surprise the happy couple. I’m glad it was the chimney sweep as my second photographer had spotted (and I quote) “….a strange man hiding around the corner” and we were wondering who he was!
As mentioned, the wedding breakfast was held at Hart’s hotel in the city centre. Goose Fair was on but thankfully traffic wasn’t too bad. After the wedding breakfast it was time for the traditional speeches. During the early evening, I took Laura & Joe outside for a few night time portraits then before we knew it, it was time for the first dance. Laura and her dad followed with a father daughter dance before the guests joined them on the dance floor. I left tired but knowing we’d got some wicked photographs. My favourite ones from their day are below. Hope you like them.
