This is one of my favourite photographs from Jason & Sam's wedding at Ringwood Hall in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
It was taken during golden hour when we came out for some romantic sunset portraits. Ringwood Hall is nestled within the Derbyshire countryside but within the venue, it is surrounded on all sides by trees so a clear view of the skyline during sunset is actually very hard.
We found a patch between the trees so i positioned the bride and groom so they were directly inbetween the sun for this beautiful silhouette portrait.
Using a high aperture I managed to bring out the sun rays.
The rose garden at the rear of Ringwood Hall is one of the best spots for bridal portraits. My favourite room for wedding breakfast is the Ringwood suite due to the grand size.
It is worth noting too that for larger weddings, Ringwood Hall can now cater for those in the upgraded marquee to the rear of the venue. Not only do they have a large marquee. They have also created a private garden so couples who have their wedding receptions there do not need to share the Rose garden and maintain some exclusivity.
*Update* - I'm so excited. I have recently been booked to return to Ringwood Hall and photograph another wedding. 2018 cannot come soon enough!
