Danny and Lauren got married at Sherwood Forest in Nottingham and invited me to be their wedding photographer.
They imagined a relaxed day and both team bride and team groom got ready in separate lodges at Centerparcs.
Once the groomsmen and best men were ready they cycled to the venue where they greeted guests arriving.
This photo was taken just as the guys arrived. It's never easy trying to capture moving targets and as every wedding photographer will know. We don't have the luxury of repeating moments.
So I opted for a same focal length and deepish aperture to ensure I got everyone in focus. Rather than risk using a shallow aperture then missing focus.
Lauren, the bride arrived right on time and they had a lovely, intimate ceremony in the Oak room.
Once the legal ceremony was over and Danny & Lauren were legally married. We all went to the outside stadium area where the best man did a private blessing for the newlyweds.
For the evening reception the couple had chosen a mexican band instead of a wedding DJ playing the usual music.
I left Sherwood Forest with the music blaring and people on the dance floor. And that's what a wedding is all about isn't it?
