Your wedding photographs shouldn’t be a collection of individual photographs. Together they should tell the story of your day. It’s about the celebration of your love together, the journey you’re just about to take and the coming together of two families.
From the excitement of the morning preparations on the big day, the exchange of rings, right through to the emotion of the speeches and your first dance, I’ll capture those special moments, just the way you want to remember them in a friendly yet unobtrusive way. I want the story of your day to unfold naturally without falsely staging moments. My aim is simple. To create stunning wedding photographs, a visual story that will remind you of how you felt on your wedding day. To capture moments you never saw and photographs you will be proud to show your friends & family.

Take a moment to read what some of my previous happy customers have said about their photos. To me there's no better vote of confidence than to read the words from real customers.

"Aaaaahhhhhhh! They’re gorgeous! We can’t thank you enough, we totally love them.  Thank you so much again for all of your help on the day. We’ve got the most fabulous memories of our wedding and the photos will hopefully be decorating the walls for many many years to come." - Mel & Jim

"From the initial meeting we had, right down the big day itself, we felt completely at ease with Martin. He understood what we wanted and that we both were not a fan of having our pictures taken. He managed to make us feel confident in front of the camera. His unique style of ‘natural’ photos was just what we wanted!” - Amy & Sam

"Wow, what can we say… the photos are amazing. Thank you so much for capturing our special day perfectly. From our first meeting we knew you were the best man for the job and are so pleased with our photos.” - Charlotte & Andy

My name is Martin Cheung and I’m a Nottingham wedding photographer. I’m probably best known for my stunning contemporary images but that is just a fraction of what I photograph during the day. Most of the day I am capturing the natural and candid moments. I honestly believe that the natural smiles and genuine laughter are the moments you most want to remember on your wedding day.

I hope that the above photographs will reassure you that I am one of the most adaptable wedding photographers in the East Midlands. Whether it’s sunny, raining or snowing. Even if you get married in the dark. As a professional wedding photographer I have the experience to ensure your photos will still look amazing.

I’m often contacted by people and asked for advice on how to find a great wedding photographer. What qualities should they look for? My answer is simple. Find someone who is a paranoid perfectionist. A person who is paranoid enough that they have the right equipment and processes in place to ensure that they can keep shooting whatever comes their way. And a perfectionist who won’t rest until they’ve got the perfect image. After all, your wedding day is such an important day in your life. You deserve the best.

Being a wedding photographer is a great responsibility, one which I do not take lightly. My knowledge of lighting and experience ensures that no matter if you are getting married on a sunny beach or a romantic candlelit ceremony that my bride and grooms still get beautifully well lit photographs.

As cliched as it may sound, I genuinely enjoy shooting weddings. I love seeing family come together. Often family & friends haven’t seen each other in some time and documenting their time together is precious. Whilst I believe it is important to capture the formal family photographs, my aim is to do this to a high professional standard but at the same time, as quickly as possible. I understand you want to enjoy spending time with your relatives rather than having people waiting around for their names to be called.

Put simply, I want to provide each of my clients with the best wedding images possible combined as well as the best customer service. It’s my goal to exceed their expectations and to delight them with their photographs.
