Carriage Hall Plumtree Nottingham

10 beautiful carriage hall wedding photographs

about carriage hall

Carriage Hall is a stunning Victorian building which was once believe it or not, a shed for a former railway station. It has been restored into a very popular wedding venue in Nottingham.

This beautiful Nottinghamshire wedding venue provides the perfect location for your celebration. Whether you are getting married there or wanting a church wedding, it’s easy to see why so many couples flock to Carriage Hall each year.

Last year, they introduced three luxury shepherd huts which include a bridal suite. This gives you and selected guests overnight accommodation.

One of the reasons why I love photographing weddings at Carriage Hall is that there is so much natural light that floods into the main hall. This really gives the feeling of space and the brickwork gives that rustic barn type feeling that so many couples are currently seeking. As you can see from this wedding photo from Stephanie & Peter’s ceremony. It is just such a light and airy room. Spacious enough for up to 120 guests to sit comfortably!

The upstairs Mezzanine is the ideal place for guests to relax. I’ve found it is often the perfect spot for older relatives to sit. The balcony overlooks the main hall so they can still feel like part of the ‘action’ whilst being able to enjoy sitting in a quieter, more comfortable seating.

The Saunders room has a small balcony which is perfect for the all important group photograph. It’s also commonly used for your photo booth or maybe even just a space for the newlyweds to spend a few moments together after their ceremony.

For the wedding breakfast, I have always enjoyed the food served by the staff at Carriage Hall. They use only the finest local ingredients so you can be confident the food is always tasty and fresh.

kind words

Martin was our wedding photographer and we couldn’t be more pleased. Martin was very efficient which really helped put our minds at rest. On the day he was highly professional and yet very friendly and fun. He was not intrusive and managed to capture brilliant shots without people even noticing he was there!

how to find carriage hall

Carriage Hall is nestled in the picturesque village of Plumtree, Nottingham. The easiest way to find the venue if you are coming from Nottingham is via the A606, Melton Road. Turn off at Main Road towards Plumtree. This road will merge into Station road. After about a mile, you will see Plumtree garage on your right. Straight ahead, you should see a railway bridge.

Just before the bridge, you will see a road to the left. There is a small signpost with both Carriage Hall and Perkins Bistro on it but if you drive too fast, it is easily missed. Exit here and drive up the path. Once you pass the Bistro on your right, you will see Carriage Hall in front of you.
