About Devonshire Terrace

Devonshire Terrace is part of the Drake & Morgan group. A company that has a well earned reputation for the finest food and great service.

Located in the City of London and only a short walk from Liverpool Street tube station. Devonshire Terrace is really a convenient place to get to using public transport. Around the corner is a large Travel Lodge where you could relax after the wedding.

I was chosen by Julia & Stefan to be their wedding photographer and despite having to travel, it was really easy to get there.

The Courtyard

One of the most unique features has to be the glass domed roof in the courtyard. This makes Devonshire Terrace the perfect place to get married, no matter the weather. You can enjoy the feeling of an outdoor wedding no matter if it is raining or snowing.

The natural light that fills this space is every wedding photographer’s dream. Making it totally unecessary to use flash photography until late into the evening.

In the night time, the courtyard is lit with lanterns and mood lighting making it a great space for you to spill out and take a quick break from the partying.

JULIA & STEFAN'S DEVONSHIRE TERRACE WEDDING

Julia looked absolutely amazing as she walked down the aisle where Stefan was waiting for her. During the ceremony, the bride & groom exchanged personal vows whilst their closest friends and family looked on.

Following the ceremony, we quickly finished a few formal group photographs before walking a short distance to one of London’s most iconic landmark’s, The Gherkin.

Speeches were given during the wedding breakfast in between each course. The newlyweds had also arranged for a few ice breaker games so the guests could get to know each other better. This included drawing a portrait of the guest sat opposite you and culminating in a team race to down shots.

Darren from Dazling Magic was on hand to entertain the wedding guests with his mind boggling close up magic.

I left the happy couple partying after the obligatory cake cut & first dance. But not before whisking them off for a few evening portraits in the tunnel leading to Devonshire Terrace.
