Eriviat Hall Wedding Photographer - Leona & Steven
Today it is my absolute pleasure to share with you some Eriviat Hall wedding photographs from a very special wedding to me. It's not every day that I am asked to photograph my own cousin's wedding! It was an absolute honour and if I'm honest a little daunting to be in work mode in front of my own family & friends!
Eriviat Hall is an exclusive use wedding venue, nestled in the tranquil and stunning North Wales countryside. If you are looking for a stunning stately home which you can put your own mark on and have a lot of flexibility in how you use the venue. Then Eriviat Hall is well worth checking out.
I stayed overnight with much of our family & friends and enjoyed a quick soak in the hot tub! In the morning I caught up with Leona for the all important getting ready photos. Downstairs, Steven was his very usual laid back self.
The first part of the wedding were the traditional Chinese door games. In case you're unfamiliar, this is where the groom is set a series of challenges by the bridal party to prove his love and show he is worthy of marrying his bride. The bridesmaids had arranged for the guys to dress up in Super Mario outfits whilst singing songs and answering difficult questions about Leona.
Steven and his best men passed the challenges with flying colours so the wedding ceremony could go ahead!
The wedding speeches were done in both Cantonese for the Chinese guests and English for everyone else.
After the wedding breakfast, it was time for another Chinese tradition. The tea ceremony!
This is where the bride & groom pay their respects to their elders by presenting them with a cup of tea.
The bride & groom later performed a comedy first dance before switching into a more traditional dance. It was very sunny summer's day so we were rewarded with a stunning sunset. Conrad went well above and beyond the call of duty by driving Leona & Steven to the best spot for sunset photographs.
Once we returned, usually it would be time for me to leave. Not this time though. This time I got to put my cameras down and party the night away with my family.
Congratulations to my cousin and her new husband Steven.
Below are some of my favourite wedding photos from their day. Hope you love them!
