Gemma & Ashley - Hazel Gap Barn

I had an awesome time earlier this month at the wedding of Gemma & Ashley. The wedding took place at Hazel Gap Barn in Budby, Nottinghamshire. It was great to be back at Hazel Gap, since when it comes to wedding ceremonies. They don't get much better than here!

The happy bride and groom tied the knot at Hazel Gap Barn in front of their family and friends. It was full of smiles and laughter. Ceremonies like this make my job as a wedding photographer in Nottingham a very enjoyable job.

I really love winter weddings since they really test my lighting skills and I do love some dark & dramatic portraits. Of course we didn't just do night portraits. We also took the time during the nice daylight to get some nice photos then too.

After the ceremony the guests were treated to Hazel Gap's legendary food during the wedding breakfast. The speeches were all great and I especially loved Ashley's speech. As a wedding photographer, I hear a lot of speeches but Ash's was definitely memorable for several reasons.

Once the speeches were over, it was time for the evening celebrations. We did break briefly for sparklers which I always love to capture. Afterwards, I left the happy couple with their guests dancing the night away.

You couldn't have wished for a more perfect day for Gemma & Ashley and I hope they have a long and happy life together.
