Christie & JD - Swancar Farm

Swancar Farm is one of the finest wedding venues in Nottinghamshire. It is one of the area’s most sought after places for couples to get married. As such I have been a regular to Swancar Farm weddings over the years and know the venue extremely well.

However. On the morning of JD & Christie’s wedding, my first words as I entered the Oak Hall was “WOW!” The level of planning that JD, Christie and her mum Donna was off the charts! The room was transformed beyond anything I’ve ever seen at Swancar Farm! This level of planning had been extended to the ceremony room and there were lots of little details throughout Swancar.

Christie had always dreamed of a Disney princess themed wedding and today, it was clear she was getting her dream wedding day!

Her prince charming was JD who was patiently and calmly waiting for her in the ceremony room whilst Christie put the finishing touches on her make up in the bridal suite.

A short civil ceremony was held upstairs with a lovely reading from Uncle Brian. Afterwards we all came downstairs for the confetti followed by group photos. We were joined briefly by Minnie & Chewy, the bride & groom’s pet dogs. They were both very excited to be part of the day.

Absent friends and family were remembered during the wedding breakfast where Donna and Tim led the speeches with a heartfelt speech honouring JD’s mum who had recently passed away.

Later, the bride and groom dazzled the crowd’s with an amazing chreographed first dance. Their lift at the end of their routine was literally like something you’d see in an episode of Strictly Come Dancing!

Then one more surprise! A hilarious father/daughter dance with Christie and Tim entertaining the guests.
