Jo-Ann and Tommy got married this December and I was honoured to have been chosen as their wedding photographer. I arrived in the morning at the bride’s family home where literally everyone was getting ready in the front room. It was like organised chaos but Jo-Ann kept her cool throughout.
A very quick drive and I was at St Lawrences church in Ardwick Le Street where I caught up with the guys. Jo-Ann arrived on time and the ceremony was filled with a lot of love and laughter. Something that you will no doubt see shining through the photos. A few quick photos after the ceremony and we all left to go to the reception at Wentbridge House. Now the weather had been raining in the run up to the wedding but thankfully today it didn’t rain. Unfortunately at this time of the year it meant the ground was still a little soggy so I apologise to the ladies who got their heels stuck in the grass whilst we were taking the group photos! The light was beautiful which meant the couple’s portraits went quickly.
Soon it was time for the receiving line and the wedding breakfast. The speeches followed dessert and Tommy had some surprise signs to ‘help’ the best man with some visual cues. After the speeches, I took the opportunity to deputise a few of the young children and gave them one of my cameras to go around taking funny photos with. The results were hilarious and the kids loved it.
Despite the darkness, we went outside for some evening photos were I spotted a large Christmas tree with lots of lights which as you can see made for a wonderful background for a beautiful portrait.
Before we knew it, it was time for the first dance and I left the happy couple dancing the night away with their friends & family. Below are a small selection of the photographs from their special day. If you are getting married at Wentbridge House and would like to book an experienced wedding photographer that specialises in relaxed candid photography then send me a message and let’s have a talk about your wedding plans.
