I’ve been looking forward to Laura and Adam’s wedding for quite some time. They’d decided to get married at one of my favourite venues and I was invited to be their Nottinghamshire golf club wedding photographer in Cotgrave. It was nice to be back again.
I started the day at Laura’s house where the girl’s were getting ready. It was raining heavily but despite that everyone was ever so calm. Mason was absolutely hilarious and I managed to get a few great candid’s of him messing around whilst Laura was finishing getting ready.
I’d prepared myself for a rainy day shoot but it was great to see the sun shortly after the ceremony. Whilst I pride myself on the ability to shoot in all weather conditions, I’m sure no bride has ever said “It’s raining on my wedding day…Fantastic!” This meant that after the great speeches, we managed to get out onto the course itself and take advantage of the stunning clouds and get some amazing portraits.
After their first dance, once the sun had finally set. We went outside and watched an incredible firework display. At which point it was time for me to go home. I had almost packed everything away and had come back to take my last bag when I noticed the moon was very bright over the lake. It gave me an idea………So I quickly set my camera up and found Laura & Adam to see if they’d mind having one last photograph. I’m so glad they agreed because the results were stunning. Special thanks to Brooklyn for assisting me as my human light stand. I couldn’t have done it without you!
Below are some of my favourite photos from the day. I hope you like them. If you are also getting married at the Nottinghamshire looking for a professional wedding photographer who loves nothing more than to capture the excitement of your special day then
