The Old Vicarage Boutique Hotel is tucked away in the sleepy village of Southwell, Nottingham. If you are planning an intimate wedding then this family run business may be the ideal venue for you.
Their dedicated wedding planners will ensure that your vision will be turned into a reality on your most special day. Their focus on delivering high quality service and individual customer service means it is one of Nottinghamshire’s best kept secret’s.
One of my favourite features of The Old Vicarage has to be the tree swing. This makes the perfect backdrop for your wedding day portraits.
During the summer months, bride and groom’s can choose to get married outside in the bandstand. If you have always dreamed of an outdoors wedding. The Old Vicarage could make your dream come true.
For the wedding breakfast, I have always enjoyed the food served by the staff at The Old Vicarage. My favourite dish is the glazed beef short rib. Yum! I love the way the beef just practically melted in your mouth. The team use only the finest local ingredients so you can be confident the food is always tasty and fresh.
The hotel has been one of Nottingham’s finest venues since 2009. There are eight individually styled bedrooms which are all decorated to the highest standards.
A term often used by wedding venues is ‘exclusive use’ or more commonly called ‘exclusivity’. The Old Vicarage boutique hotel has taken this phrase t0 the next level. By not only offering exclusivity on the day of your wedding. But also (subject to availability) you will also get exclusivity the night before your wedding too. This ensures you and your bridal party will be as relaxed as possible.
The bridal suite is a spacious room and simply stunning. With plenty of room inside for getting ready along with your bridesmaids.
Why I like being an old vicarage wedding photographer
If you are looking for the perfect venue for a modest sized wedding. Then it’s clear to see why couples choose to get married here.
As a wedding photograher though, there are several reasons I enjoy photographing here.
Firstly the swing in the garden always makes for a nice prop for the bride and groom portraits.
Secondly, the large windows are perfect for throwing beautiful natural light into the room during the ceremony.
The gardens are immacuately kept and perfect for gorgeous images of the newlyweds.
Lastly, I’m a bit of a foodie and the food is gorgous. So tasty! Have I mentioned my favourite beef shortribs?
Kind Words from Previous Customers
“Photography was the most important part of our wedding and I did a lot of research. As soon as we met Martin I knew he was the guy for us!
I didn’t really have a set idea of what photos I wanted, I just wanted a document of the day and some nice couple shots.
We got our photos back and I can’t stop looking at them, every single one is perfect and beautiful and tells a story. We can relive the whole day through the photos.
Martin was so good at getting us to relax and his ideas for shots were spot on. We couldn’t have asked for more.”
