Orla & Jonathan - Wollaton Hall

Orla & Jonathan planned an intimate Wollaton Hall wedding in Nottingham and I was honoured to be their official photographer. They exchanged vows in the Great Hall and their daughter Megan did a lovely reading.

The sun was shining and it was a perfect spring day. What I call a goldilocks day. Ie. It wasn't too hot, wasn't too cold. It was just right!

So after the confetti was thrown outside the Salon steps. We quickly did some family formal photographs in the garden before the guests headed down to Camellia House for drinks and snacks.

Meanwhile, I went upstairs to the Prospect room with the bride and groom for some wedding portraits. The sun was shining directly through the rear window so I quickly used that to get a stunning silhouette photograph, using the sun as a starburst behind them.

We did a few more wedding photographs in the rear garden before the newlyweds went back to Camellia House to join their guests for the drinks reception.

Later we finished with a few quick portraits before I left them to enjoy the rest of their wedding day.

I always enjoy working at Wollaton Hall. It is such a beautiful venue which makes a gorgeous backdrop for your wedding day photographs. If you are getting married at this historic venue and looking for a recommended Wollaton Hall wedding photographer then do drop me a message and let's have a chat about your wedding plans!
