There are some venues which you can never get tired of. There’s certainly no shortage of great wedding venues in the East Midland’s area. The Peak Edge Hotel in Chesterfield is one of those venues which every Derbyshire Wedding Photographer would loves to shoot at. So it was great to be able to return again for Amy and Sam’s wedding.
If I had to use one word to describe their wedding, it would be ‘fun’. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly, I really felt more like I was there as a guest than a wedding photographer. I arrived whilst the girl’s were getting ready whilst my second photographer captured some of the guys as they arrived at the hotel.
Amy looked a little nervous but absolutely stunning as she walked down the aisle to a relieved looking Sam. The ceremony went smoothly and soon we were outside in the sun, enjoying the British summer. Or what’s left of it! After the speeches, Amy’s bridesmaids had arranged a vist from a surprise guest. As you can see from the photos, Amy was very stunned but loved her surprise!
Cloud cover meant that I wasn’t sure we would get a good sunset. Just before the first dance, I noticed the sky, I said “Quick! Let’s go and get a couple of photos now!” Thankfully Amy & Sam were happy to oblige and after we went straight into the first dance.
So without further ado, here are a few of my favourite photographs from their day.
