Sam & Jason chose Ringwood Hall in Chesterfield, Derbyshire for their wedding reception and their local village church, St Margaret’s in Pinxton, Nottinghamshire for their marriage ceremony. It was very much a local wedding for me then since I live very close by, so I was glad to be chosen as their Derbyshire wedding photographer.
I arrived on the morning of their wedding day at Ringwood Hall where the girls were getting ready in the bridal suite. As usual I started by taking photographs of the important details such as the dress, shoes and bouquet. Once the bride was ready we took a few quick portraits by the window before I rushed off to the church to catch up with the guys.
It was nice to return to St Margaret’s church in Pinxton. The sun was out in full force as we stepped out of the church. A few formal group photos and we were driving back to Ringwood Hall where we mopped up a few missing guests for group photos.
Now unlike many wedding photographer’s, making sure that I give the newlyweds some time to mingle with family & friends is very important to me. It is also very important that I am not late with the photographs and standing in the way of guests and their food. I had them back in plenty of time. To the point where the Ringwood Hall staff thought I hadn’t taken any couple’s portraits! I like to work quick and efficiently.
The speeches were completed before food was served. Whilst everyone enjoyed the wedding breakfast I took the time to edit some photographs for their same day slideshow service. This is incredibly popular with many of my customers since it allows them to see their wedding photographs the very same day! As the name suggests. Today was no different with quite the crowd gathering to catch a glimpse.
I thoroughly enjoyed Sam & Jason’s wedding. What a lovely couple who are clearly very much in love. Thank you for allowing me to document your special day.
Here are some of my favourite images from their wedding day.
