The Wedding

Stephanie and Peter chose to have a Carriage Hall Wedding in Nottingham. Stephanie chose a gorgeous wedding dress and she looked absolutely beautiful in it. Just like a princess!

There was a hiccup with the flowers. A problem which I'm sure other bride's would have been understandably really angry or upset. However, Stephanie was as cool as a cucumber and didn't stress. In fact, both her and Peter were both very laid back and were happy to be getting married.

It was a humanist ceremony rather than the usual civil ceremony. This meant totally personalised vows which I feel is a beautiful touch. I really enjoyed the change of pace and hearing about Stephanie & Peter's story.

After the service, their guests were all given bubbles rather than the traditional confetti. I think this worked really well and would definitely recommend it for anyone who may have restrictions with confetti or if they just would rather do something a little different.

The speeches were after the all important wedding breakfast. Peter's speech brought tears to his mum's eyes. Then Stephanie followed with an awesome speech, I saw Peter holding back the tears too!

How we First Met

We first met Stephanie and Peter at a wedding fair at the venue. Stephanie contacted my wife & I after the fair because she said we were the only ones who did not 'pounce' on her and try to 'sell sell sell'. Unfortunately this does often seem to be the case at wedding fairs. My goal is to always treat customers how I want to be treated. I know I wouldn't like to be pounced on at every wedding stand. So it's not an approach I take. Instead I'm happy to answer any questions you have. After the wedding, the photos below were noticed by the English Wedding Blog who asked if it would be possible to feature them on their website. This was a real honour as getting featured by such a well respected blog site is usually difficult. To be asked if they could, is even more special!
