The Orangery

The Orangery is one of the most stunning rooms I’ve been to for a wedding breakfast. Up to 200 guests can be seated here and the bar is in the corner of the room making it simple for guests to party and enjoy the celebrations.

Not many people know this but if you are planning a big wedding then the Orangery can also be used for your ceremony. Again up to 200 people can be seated to watch you both tie the knot!

Best Locations for Stubton Hall Wedding Photos

Stubton Hall offers endless photographic opportunities, ensuring your wedding photos are as stunning as your special day. Some of the most picturesque spots include:

• The Grand Staircase: has to be one of my favourite places at Stubton Hall for portraits. The beauty of the staircase is clear and the light shining through the huge windows give a quality of light that wedding photographers dream of. All combined to give you the beautiful photos you will want to hang on your wall.

• Manicured Gardens: It’s the perfect backdrop for your outdoor ceremony and stunning group photos.

• Lakeside Views: Especially breathtaking at sunset and I love the relaxed, natural portraits I can get by asking the newlyweds to have a little stroll around the lake, often surrounded by ducks and geese! Awww!

• Historic Interiors: What if it rains? Not a problem! From ornate fireplaces to antique furnishings, Stubton Hall is as perfect on the inside as the outside. There’s no end of beautiful spaces for an experienced wedding photographer (like me!) to use to still create stunning and beautiful portraits on your wedding day.

If you ask me though, where my favourite spot would be. At Stubton Hall I would say it should be the grand staircase. I honestly believe this is the iconic image that sums up the beauty and grandeur of the venue. It makes the perfect photo to hang on your wall or post on social media. It would be like going to Paris and not seeing the Eifel Tower!?! I mean you could. But why on earth not?

Got Questions?

Yes, absolutely. Stubton Hall has no restrictions on sparklers but please do use common sense. For some great tips, read my guide on how to organise the best sparkler photos.

Yes, confetti is allowed. I always recommend using biodegradable confetti for the sake of the evironment. Whilst confetti canons are fun, they are rarely environmentally friendly with plastic bits and are tough to clean up. Often the contents get wet and can stain carpets. For this reason I would not recommend the use of confetti canons.

Yes, if you are planning a large wedding then Stubton Hall is conveniently located less than 15 minute drive from Newark where you will find additional places for your guests to stay. Personally I always love a good Premier Inn but there are other hotels and AirBnB’s your guests can book.

Stubton Hall is a short drive away from the historic market town of Newark. The train station there is well served and has direct trains to London. Meaning it’s the perfect place to escape the city and get married in the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside!
