Over the hundreds of weddings I've photographed, I've built up a wealth of tips not to mention seen the most common mistakes couples make when planning their weddings. Here are a few of my best tips for making sure your wedding at Stubton Hall is guaranteed to be amazing!
- Make sure your timeline isn't too packed. - One of the biggest mistakes I see are couples who have seen so many great ideas from other people's weddings that they pack their timeline full of things to do. What happens is that your day becomes just a rush. Never having any time for you both to relax and actually enjoy your day. Make sure you leave plenty of time to actually mingle and talk to your guests and that also helps when your timeline inevitably runs a bit behind.
- The gardens at Stubton Hall are immaculately kept and beautiful. They're also MASSIVE. So allow extra time to walk between beauty spots and you may want to consider your footwear if you're planning on killer heels. Walking on grass and over stones isn't much fun with stilletto's and a guaranteed way to ruin those expensive designer shoes!
- Large centrepieces really make a statement but also obscure the view for both your photographer as well as your guests. This makes it hard for them to see you during speeches. So consider saving money by having smaller centrepieces during your wedding breakfast. After all, no-one has ever said "Great wedding, shame the centrepieces weren't taller!"
