Full day coverage starts at £1695. Discounts may be available for off peak dates and/or midweek weddings. Extras such as wedding albums, engagement shoots and additional photographers are all available.  As a preferred supplier to Wollaton Hall, I will do my best to work within your budget and build a custom package to suit your requirements.

my style and approach to your wedding day

A lot of people imagine a wedding photographer is someone who will turn up to your wedding day with his big camera and even bigger lenses.  Someone who will be bossing you around, clicking away furiously with a noisy shutter and constantly interrupting you having fun. Asking you all to pose and smile for the camera.

That is the exact opposite of how I work.  Instead for 90% of the day, my style could be described as documentary wedding photography.  This is where I will discreetly observe what is going on without interrupting the flow of events.

The next 5% is made up of the family group photographs.  These will be the all important photos with your parents and probably, the best man, bridemaids etc.

Lastly I ask for around 15 minutes during the day for wedding photographs of the two of you.  During this time, my focus is on photographing the natural moments between you rather than trying to force stiff and unnatural posed.  I would much rather take photos of you laughing, joking with each other. Perhaps a tender kiss or a hug.  Than have you posing like models.

Wollaton Hall is a stunning Elizabethan mansion near the centre of Nottingham. It's beautiful surroundings make the perfect backdrop for weddings and receptions.

In fact, Wollaton Hall is so cool that even Batman paid it a visit in 2011, filming key scenes for the movie, The Dark Knight Rises.

A Wollaton Hall wedding would be the ideal venue that epitomises elegance and quality.

the great hall

Wollaton Hall has several rooms which are licensed for civil ceremonies. However, my favourite is most definitely the Great Hall. This is a magnificent room which can be hired for both your wedding ceremony and evening reception. The room can accommodate up to 100 guests.

camellia house

If you get married at Wollaton Hall. After you've said your vows, exchanged rings and had the all important first kiss.  You and your guests can use Camellia House for your drinks reception. The historic Camellia House is one of the earliest cast iron glass houses in the UK. Built in 1827, it was beautifully renovated and a new roof has been installed to cope with the winter weather but at the same time retain the original feel of the building.

prospect room

One of the best rooms for wedding photos at Wollaton Hall has to be the Prospect Room.  This large spacious room is at the top floor of Wollaton Hall.  Often used by bride and groom's for their wedding photos. It is also great if you just want a few minutes of peace and quiet together and away from the hustle and bustle.

Access is only possible with staff accompanying you.  The stairs up to the Prospect room are small and narrow.  So it can be a bit of a challenge if you have a large wedding dress but so far, all of my bride's have made it! 😉

Whilst you are up there, you can also step outside onto the balcony with panoramic views of Nottingham.

the salon

The Salon is the room next to the Great Hall.  A few years ago this was a room you could hold your civil ceremony in but it seems to now be mainly used as a spot for your reception drinks.  However, it can still be used and I like this room as it is conveniently situated to the back lawn.  Meaning you have easy access to go outside into the garden for photos.
