Natalie & James – Belvoir Castle Wedding

When Natalie & James first approached me to be their Belvoir Castle Wedding Photographer, I was absolutely gutted! You see, my sister had arranged her wedding for the very same date so there was no way I could do it. I absolutely adore photographing at Belvoir Castle, with its grand architecture and gorgeous gardens. It really is the perfect place to get married.

Then months later, out of the blue they got back in touch. Hurrah! Unfortunately due to the pandemic, their wedding plans had been postponed and they'd set a new datae. So they wanted to know if I was available for their new date in 2021? YES!!! Yes I am! And would it be possible to have a combined photography/videography package? Yes! We'd be honoured! I was so happy that we were available for their new date and Daiga (well both of us) were very excited to be back at Belvoir Castle again!

Both the bride and groom got ready at Belvoir Castle having stayed there the previous night. We travelled to St Mary's Church in Bottesford for their wedding ceremony and afterwards returned for the wedding reception.

We got the drone out for the everyone group photo since the castle makes such a unique background.

After the wedding breakfast which was in the state dining room, we went downstairs into the Guards Room for the cake cut with a very VERY long sword! Before the party started in the Kitchens with the newlyweds leading the way with a spectacular choreographed first dance to Bryan Adam's Heaven (The Candlelight Remix which is my favourite version).

Later that evening, we were treated to the ceremonial canon's being fired. Wow! Is all I can say! See for yourself how amazing it looked.
