ringwood hall wedding photos

Here are just a very few of my very favourite photographs that I have taken at previous weddings at Ringwood Hall. I hope it shows off my natural, unobtrusive style of photography. I want you to enjoy spending your day with your loved ones, rather than standing smiling awkwardly at the camera. So my goal is to tell the story of your day, without falsely staging moments. My typical portrait sessions last only around 15 minutes. So I don’t need a long time to get great results.

frequently asked questions (FAQ)

I strongly believe that on your wedding day, all the suppliers you’ve chosen should work together as a single team to make sure your day is absolutely perfect! That’s why I will be liasing with the coordinator on the day, to make sure you are running to time and I know when the venue need you and when it’s convenient for me to take over to make sure you get the best photos.

With the beautiful grade II listed building, should the weather be REALLY bad. We can find areas within the hall and get creative. HOWEVER, it is exceptionally rare that it will rain all day with zero breaks. So if it is raining on your wedding day (and let’s be honest we do live in the UK!) then we will be flexible and jump outside during a break in the rain.

I am also well known for my incredible rain portraits. See the wedding gallery section for examples. Just because it rains, doesn’t mean you must accept rubbish photos.

I don’t have a set routine for my photography. The main things that affect the photos for me would be the weather, the light and how much time you can give me on the day. Give me a good 15 minutes during the afternoon and perhaps the same during golden hour in the evening and I will give you a wide range of amazing portraits of you both.

My goal is to capture the natural laughter, the cuddles and the giggles between you both. As well as a few drop dead gorgeous images you can hang on your wall. And honestly whilst I know the best spots at Ringwood Hall, I don’t follow restrict myself to just those spots. If I see a beautiful patch of light then to me that is much more important than using a poorly lit area.

The number of photos you get will really depend on what happens on your day, how many guests you invite and what they do! All factors that are outside my control. If you invite a bunch of party animals who will hit that dance floor with a vengeance then you’ll probably get more photos than if you invite a small group of friends who just surf their phones at their tables.

That being said, a good yard stick would be somewhere between 500-600 images. But my goal is to give you as many great photos as possible.

why choose me to be your ringwood hall wedding photographer?

So with so many talented wedding photographers in the world. Why choose me to document your day?

Well firstly I have photographed hundreds of weddings all over the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire area over the past ten years. I’m proud that some of the images I’ve captured have been recognised and celebrated by my peers with awards.

All that aside though, most importantly is my approach to your wedding day. I never forget that it is one of the most important days of your life. And my most important job is to capture the story of your day as honestly and authentically as possible.

I want you to enjoy your day partying with friends and family. Spend your time hugging and dancing with relatives whom you may not have seen for a long time. I want to not only make sure you get brilliant wedding photos after your wedding at Ringwood Hall but crucially I want you to remember how you felt when the photos were taken.

My natural and documentary approach to your wedding is often commented on and when I hear couples say “I never even noticed you taking that photo!”, then that’s music to my ears!

If the way I work sounds like what you want from your wedding photographer then I’d LOVE to hear from you and perhaps find out more about what you have planned. Fill in the form below and I’ll get back to you ASAP. Usually within the hour.
