If enquiries have slowed or your bookings just aren’t where they should be, this workshop will show you exactly how to fix it.

Business Mastery is a one-day intensive masterclass designed to help photographers conquer the business side of weddings. I’ll show you the exact methods I use to stay fully booked with 50+ weddings ever year. All stuff that work in today’s market.

There’s no wishy-washy fluff about “being true to yourself” or “manifesting success.” This is about practical steps, real strategies and psychology-backed methods that work.

About the Venue

Sure, the Crowne Plaza isn’t the sort of place with beanbags, exposed brick walls and ping pong tables but I chose this place for a reason!

It’s right in the heart of the city, easy to reach by tram or train. If you’re driving then I’ve negotiated discounted parking of £5 for the FULL day. And if you are traveling from further away you can stay the night in comfort and turn it into a weekend away.

My goal was to pick a comfortable location with good food and makes attending as easy as possible.

What You Will Learn

Here’s what we’ll cover during the day. The goal is that you’ll leave with lots of fresh ideas, a new way of thinking and a clear strategy for 2026 and beyond.

1. The Psychology of Weddings (What Makes Couples Say Yes)

We’ll look at how couples really think when they’re choosing who to book. I’ll teach you a simple framework for understanding human motivation and how to apply it to the wedding world. Why people say yes and how emotions drive buying decisions. Understand this framework and everything about how you communicate & sell your services starts to change.

2. Building a Brand That Fits

A brand is so much more than a logo and a font. We’ll look at real examples and break down what makes them work. Then we’ll apply those principles to the wedding industry so you can build a brand that attracts your ideal clients with a laser focus.

3. Websites & Portfolio Curation

We’ll talk about what really matters for an effective website. Discuss what makes people click that contact button and maybe even tackle the big question….” everyone has an opinion on: “should your prices be on or off your website” We’ll also cover how to curate your portfolio for maximum impact. What to show, what not to show and why less is more.

4. Turning Enquiries Into Bookings

You’ll learn exactly how I reply to enquiries, the psychology behind my responses, and how I structure meetings that lead to bookings without ever feeling pushy.

5. Marketing 101

We’ll strip marketing down to what actually works.

  • How to get found by Google and AI platforms like ChatGPT/Gemini
  • Creating a “quick and dirty” Instagram ads that actually generate leads! I’ll show you how….live!
  • Do’s and Don’ts of wedding fairs. Do you need them? How to get results, not just hand out flyers.
  • Recommended Suppliers – How to build effective relationships with coordinators, when to ask for recommendations and how to make yourself the supplier everyone wants to work with. We’ll also cover what NOT to do if you want those relationships to last!
  • Networking with other suppliers (Inc photographers)

6. Simple Shifts That Turned a Slump Into Bookings

I’ll share how I turned around a slump in bookings earlier this year using a simple but powerful strategy. Since making those changes, I’ve taken 20 bookings in just 3 months. I’ll walk you through the exact steps so you can turn things around, without lowering prices or adding extras.

7. Improving the Client Experience

Learn practical ways to make your service unforgettable. From how you communicate before and after the wedding to small touches that surprise and delight, these details get couples and guests singing your praises and lead to genuine referrals. And no, I don’t mean sending unnecessary welcome gifts.

A joyful bride in heart-shaped sunglasses and a white lace dress dances at a lively indoor wedding reception, holding a drink, with another smiling guest in a pink dress behind her.

This workshop is designed for wedding photographers at all stages. Whether you’re new and trying to build momentum or already established but not getting the enquiries you want, this workshop will help you sharpen your business skills and attract your ideal clients, even in a saturated market!

The 2025 event sold out and received brilliant feedback but one thing was clear. Attendees wanted more business, less styled shoot. So this time I’ve removed the shoot completely and built a one-day event that focuses purely on strategy, marketing, pricing and behavioural psychology to help you win more of the right clients.

If you attended the 2025 workshop at Prestwold Hall, you’ll recognise a few familiar principles but this time we go deeper. We’ll be discussing topics on behavioural psychology, creating simple but effective Instagram ads and AI engine optimisation (how to get found through tools like ChatGPT and other AI search platforms).

No. It’s a full, focused day, so you’ll get more out of it with a notebook than a camera. Bring one if you must but you shouldn’t need it.
